You already know you want a durable floor material that is also beautiful. At some point, you thought, “Why not brick?” Brick flooring is a traditional material used for thousands of years. It is versatile and is as appropriate for enhancing a historic renovation like mine or warming up a sleek contemporary decor.
Perhaps you’ve always wanted a brick floor, or maybe you fell in love with one in a friend’s home. You have a lot of questions. Some people tell you it will be rough under your feet, or difficult to clean. Like me, you may not have support for a thick brick floor, or it will interfere with doorways or floor levels in other rooms. You may know that old-cut bricks can be fragile. Ours are made from molds taken from antique bricks to retain the worn texture and have been lab-tested for strength. Maybe you looked online and found us, or maybe you saw pictures taken by our customers on Houzz or Pinterest.
The first step is to call to ask me your questions. My office line is 717-806-3900, and my cell is 717-350-2336. I will tell you that our bricks are made as tiles to avoid the weight and thickness of an old brick. I can describe the different texture choices, and assure you that they will not be rough on your socks or bare feet. We can talk about sealing options that will protect your bricks from stains, and make them easy to clean. I can consult with you about the best style and color choices for your rooms. I like to see pictures of your home and the spaces you want to cover with a brick floor or wall. If your builder or installer has questions, I can talk to them too.
You might be content to order from pictures or from what you see on our YouTube channel. You may want to call to order samples. We send them to you with FedEx Supersaver, which gets to most places in the country in three business days. If you are in the mid-Atlantic area, you’re welcome to make an appointment to visit to see tiles in southern Lancaster County, PA. That’s the best way to get the largest number of loose tiles in your hands to appreciate the handmade quality and variation in our color mixes.
One of the things we’ll talk about are the lead times, and when you want to install your brick tiles. Sometimes the lead times are no more than a few weeks, and sometimes they are a couple of months or more. It depends on the size of your order, what other orders are in-house, and when those customers need them.
Our brick tiles have been used in numerous businesses, and they also stand up to that kind of foot traffic. They can also be installed outdoors, as they have been lab-tested for freeze/thaw. You can use our brick tiles on walls, floors, and ceilings.
We ship common carriers, and I shop for the best rate (with a reliable carrier) for your shipment. You can arrange shipment yourself if you want to do that. The tiles are boxed in manageable containers and stacked on pallets, shrink-wrapped and banded. Most people need a lift gate on the truck so that the pallet can be lowered to ground level. Many businesses have either a dock or a forklift to remove the pallets from the truck, and then they don’t need the hydraulic lift gate. Sending to a business or picking up at a terminal is always the best rate, but most people have their orders delivered to their homes. It’s just easier. I can get estimates any time you like. You can also pick up your order at our workshop in Harrisburg, PA. We have a forklift available to get the pallet on your truck. Small orders are in boxes easily loaded in your car.
We rarely have breakage in a shipment. If that happens, it is our problem, not yours. We will drop everything to replace any damaged tiles at our expense.
Our relationship doesn’t end when you receive your order. I’m here to answer questions and help you in any way I can.
“Ingelnook's tiles gave us the exact look we wanted. Their tiles are of the highest quality. They did an amazing job of customizing the tile to the look that we were going for. We were on a very tight schedule and they expedited our order to ensure we were able to hit our target date. I have recommended Inglenook to both friends and family. You will not be disappointed.” -Nic Blas
